Terms of Service
Effective date: April 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SheetGate website and service operated by SheetGate ("we", "our", "us"). By using SheetGate, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
SheetGate is a service that turns Google Sheets into instant APIs. You connect your Google Sheets, and SheetGate generates API endpoints that allow authorized consumers to read data from your spreadsheets.
2. Account & Access
To use SheetGate, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
- Use the service to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
- Exceed rate limits or abuse the API in a way that degrades service for others
- Resell or redistribute the service without written permission
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data beyond what the API provides
4. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data in your Google Sheets. SheetGate accesses only the spreadsheets you explicitly share with the service. You can revoke access at any time through your Google account settings or by disconnecting sheets within SheetGate.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
5. Payments & Subscriptions
Some features of SheetGate require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.
6. Service Availability
We strive to keep SheetGate available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SheetGate and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to SheetGate at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the service. Continued use of SheetGate after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
